House No. 1010/1, Národní Street No.9 - Topièùv dùm come from last third period of 19th. Century and was rebuild in 1905 by architect Otakar Polívka together with accessory building ex-insurance company Praha. Both houses are designed in very original secession style. From 1920 settle down in Topišùv dùm Newspaper Company Lidové Noviny (Folk News) from the Brno town. The house is 1949 nationalized, property confiscate and house was given to Czech Union of Writers. House is in 1990 returned to Newspaper Company Lidové Noviny and in 1993 is house returned after restitution trial to the owner Dr. Martin Stransky.
