Dear Visitors and Friends!
We would like to offer you accommodation at Blažek´s farmstead and brief you on the actual scope of services rendered by that recreation facility. The farmstead is situated in a picturesque South Bohemian village of Dudov, lying south of Prague, between the towns of Tábor and Bechynì. Thanks to its location and furnishings the farmstead is an ideal place for small groups or families with children to spend their holidays.
History:
Built in the eighteenth century by the Blažek family, farmstead No. 3 has grown to be the biggest and richest farm in the village. A fire broke out in the village in 1949, totally gutting the farmstead’s residential wing. Later on, its owner František Blažek completely rebuilt it. In the early 1950s, during the country’s forced collectivisation, the farmstead was seized and turned into a breeding station. The object then frequently changed hands, the last owner being the Praga truck-manufacturing company, which used the farm as its recreation centre. But the company proved to be a very bad manager indeed and the object fell into disrepair. In 1992 the farmstead was resituated to the daughter of the original owners who permanently lives in England, and in 1996 the current owner who then launched its overall reconstruction bought the farm.
